ABOUT

Pronet is a grassroots fundraising group that believes in the power of community organizing led by the people most affected by unjust policing and inhumane policies. We work toward a vision of a world without prisons, without borders, and without police. Pronet supports and partners with migrant-led grassroots in Tucson. We fundraise so organizations have more space to continue to build, develop leadership, run campaigns, and provide vital support and services to immigrant communities. As such, we are not a blanket charity fund. We let our community partners guide our fundraising efforts, and we shift and adapt to respond to their priorities. For example, since 2015 Pronet has maintained a bond fund. It than ran a separate campaign for immigration fees and lawyer fees and has maintained that legal fund since 2019. Whether we are fundraising for COVID-19 relief or for people to pay immigration bonds and fees, we move at a pace of trust and intentionality in our relationships. We believe that fundraising is an integral part of liberation work, and our model of fundraising is deep and relational. Our funds are mainly built on small contributions from our community. Our work is centered on the collective power of people giving what they can give.
